Big family picnic today, lunch & dinner, nephew Chris' graduation. Here's what I remember:
Lunch:
1 piece of ham & cheese sub;
1 Ya-ya's chicken thigh (Ya-ya's is THE best chicken I've had anywhere, mid-Michigan chain, only 4 stores or so - not breaded, but marinated);
water;
small helpings of:
potato salad,
taco salad, and
cole slaw.
dessert a little later:
Watergate salad,
Dirt cake;
chocolate graduation cake, white icing.
In between:
12 oz. coffee;
16 oz. Diet Snapple gren tea w/ lime.
Dinner:
Ya-ya's thigh & leg,
potato salad,
Watergate salad,
dirt cake,
relish tray assortment.
Fortunately, not many of these.

Dinner at Lucky's Steak House in Imlay City (tried to go see SW2, no late show on Friday!!):
16 oz Guinness ($4.50 - where were the dancing girls?);
very good tossed salad (yay!) with cheese (boo!) and vinegar and oil (light oil - yay!) - needed second application of v&o (boo!);
boiled veggies, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, cauliflower - no butter, little or no salt;
killer hot bread, half a skinny loaf, lotsa butter (and parmesan? garlic salt? - something else, anyhow - stuff is addictive);
lightly breaded walleye big! (14 oz?) only ate 2/3 of it. A little tartar sauce, mostly lemon, though.
Kim had bread and caesar salad and bacon/cheese soup, and a shot of Bailey's.
My favorite thing there is a black&bleu burger - cajun spices & bleu cheese. Have to stay away from THAT for a while.
12 oz. Crystal Clear peach when I got home - Daf want more! Uh!

Other vital stats:
6'4"
38 in. waist (probably really 41-42, but I still squeeze in)
44T suit (last purchase, probably really 46 now)
Age: 47
Average weight at 20: 170
Average weight at 25: 180
Average weight at 30: 190 (brief ballooning up to 210 at 28)
Average weight at 35: 193
Average weight at 40: 210
Average weight at 45: 220 (brief dip to 200 during Atkins diet)
Never much exercise, but here are activities in which I no longer participate:
Bar band performance - 5 hrs per night on my feet, under lights, bopping around, stopped at age 38 - note sharp weight gain since! Church performance and recording (what I do now) just doesn't compare;
Bar band equipment moving - great exercise, though hit-or-miss in terms of frequency - could get a house gig with no moving for months;
Jogging - auto accident at 27 hosed my knees, but I could put on an elastic knee brace and run - finally gave up at 33;
Softball - never much playing time (there's a story, I'll skip now) - broke finger at 37, only played once since;
Volleyball - my favorite, but never joined a league - maybe I should?
Hiking - Got to do this as a scout dad, and a bit on my own (White Mountains, Olympic Forest). Really miss it, but never any time. So make some time! Dummy...
Walking dogs - THAT I could do. Haven't much lately. I'll start with that. And try to keep up the lunchtime walks.

Dinner:
bowl of pork & beans (Kim starts with Bush's then adds, and adds...);
big salad, Ken's Lowfat sun-dried tomato dressing (a bit sweet, but yum!), included pecans, carrots, craisins, parmesan, and more;
3/4 of Alyssa's (my granddaughter) apple/banana Fruitsations (~ 70 cal)
2/3 of Alyssa's Yobaby peach yogurt (also yum - whole milk!) (~75 cal)

If I stop now, it'll be okay...

What I ate:
5/22 - last night was what kicked off this campaign, I think. Kim (wife) tried to get me to stop grazing, and I just kept going:
bowl of pasta and oil/vinaigrette w/ lemon - sort of a tangy pesto sauce (this was before she got home),
chicken & dumpling,
2 Mott's Peach Harvest singles,
banana,
giant bowl of cottage cheese,
glass of OJ, and a
bowl of buttered corn. She says soon she won't be able to get her legs around me... how's THAT for motivation?
5/23 - breakfast:
bowl of Rice Chex w/ whole milk,
20 oz. Diet Coke w/ lemon.
snack:
coffee (black. always black),
brownie (home-baked by Beth, a co-worker).
lunch:
Diet Dr. Pepper, and
Breakfast sausage (bratwurstesque, in a way) and bun - no toppings - from Speedway.
